Loving something so much that it is marked on the skin is something that has become common for those who have the courage to face the needles of a tattoo artist. There are those who tattoo flowers, phrases, song excerpts, names of loved ones and, as it could not be different, the face of their own pets. Getting the design of an animal's physiognomy right is as difficult as with humans, but we found a person whogets it: it's Beatriz Rezende (@beatrizrtattoo), a tattoo artist from São Paulo who specializes in reproducing photographs of pets on her clients' skin. We talked to her to find out a little more about this work and to help you find out if, in the end, it's worth it or not to eternalize your dog or cat's face on your skin (spoiler alert: yes, it is!). There is also a gallery withreal photos of people who have honored their pets with tattoos below.

Dog, cat and other pet tattoos: why did Beatriz specialize in them?

Beatriz told us that she has been working with tattoos for almost three years, but that she has been focusing on pet tattoos for a little over one. And the reason is simple: "I decided to specialize because they are tattoos that contain a lot of emotion, in addition to being very personal. Sometimes, the person brings me a photograph that is very special to them and I make sure to portray it in the best way because I know how muchit really means something," she said. Anyone who knows what it's like to love a pet knows what she's talking about!

She continued: "There are several stories that mark me because I am very emotional. Some are too painful, others are very happy and full of curiosities. Some have a sad beginning and a happy ending, but all have a lot of feeling. So I make a point of portraying these figurines with as much respect and care as possible. I could stay here telling you several stories that mehave made a mark... but all have their uniqueness".
